THE ROYAL AND SERENE HOUSE OF ALABONA-OSTROGOJSK, GARAMA AND OF NAPOCA
The Establishment of the Royal House
His Royal and Imperial Highness Prince William I de Alabona-Ostrogojsk dedicated his life to championing the historical and ancient traditions and customs of Christian Chivalry and their propagation in the modern world. In recognition of this untiring work and service, The Royal and Serene House of Alabona-Ostrogojsk was originally established by the ancient Royal House of Cantabria as a Princely and Serene Dynastic House in August of 1986 to honor His Grace William Anthony Maszer, Duke of Moreda, who then became Prince William I. In addition to the Hereditary Title and Dignity of Prince of Alabona (with the qualification of Serene Highness), the Royal House of Cantabria further bestowed the Hereditary Title and Dignity of Count Palatine de Santa Maria de Aquilar de Campo upon Prince William.
Because of Prince William's great dedication, work, and contributions to the international chivalric community, His Royal and Imperial Highness Prince Pascal I, Chief and Head of the Name and Arms of the Royal and Imperial House of Great Gothia and Balta, by Imperial Decree of April 23, 1989, granted unto Prince William the Hereditary Title and Dignity of Prince of Ostrogojsk (pr: "ahs-STROH-go-yask"), with the qualification of Royal and Serene Highness, as well as full and complete sovereignty and independent prerogatives, rights, and privileges. His Royal and Serene Highness Prince William I de Alabona-Ostrogojsk, in the exercise of his sovereign and royal prerogatives, amalgamated the formal and permanent name of the Royal Dynasty as the Royal and Serene House of Alabona-Ostrogojsk.
Also in 1989, to honor Prince William for his many chivalric endeavors, the Chief and head of the name and Arms of the Royal House of Koroneos elevated him to the Hereditary Title and Dignity of Prince of Manisa (with the qualification of Serene Highness). The current Chief and Head of the Name and Arms of the Royal House of Koroneos is His Royal Highness Prince Dom Amerigo Coroneo, Prince of Baktriana, Ariana and Hellenistic India, Prince of Naxos, Megaskyr of the Cyclades, and a Prince of the Byzantine (Eastern) Roman Empire.
The Principality of Garama
In an Imperial, Sacred, Apostolic and Caesarian Bull of June 15, 1990 promulgated by His Royal and Imperial Highness Dominus Saul III Caesar Augustus, Duke of Carthage, Porphyrogenitus of the Holy Roman Empire (in exile), the Royal and Serene House of Alabona-Ostrogojsk was further elevated by federation with the Holy Roman Empire (in exile) when Prince William was invested and elevated with the Hereditary Title and Dignity as Prince of Garama under the dynastic name of Dominus Lucius V Gulielmus Antonius, with full and complete independent sovereign and royal prerogatives, rights, and privileges. The Principality of Garama was a well-established country when militarily subjugated by Rome in the 1st century BC and is centered on the Fezzan region of North Africa.
Further Honors
His Royal and Serene Highness Prince William I de Alabona-Ostrogojsk was further honored over the years with other Hereditary Titles and Dignities by several ancient Royal Houses, and the recipient of appointments to the senior-most grades within a considerable number of significant and prestigious international Orders of Chivalry and Knighthood, as well as Dynastic House Orders too numerous to list here.
Accession of H.I.R.H. Prince William II
Prince William I passed to the Higher Life in 2013, and the Heir Apparent, Count de Brigiani immediately ascended to the Throne of the Royal House of Alabona-Ostrogojsk and of Garama and Napoca, as well as to all the House Orders. Taking the name of Prince William II, the new Prince was elected as Grand Master of the Companions of the Swan.
